COMPUTER BASICS CLASSES
These classes are designed to give participants the basic skills necessary to conduct a more effective internet-based job search. The 4-part Workshop includes:
- Introduction to Computers – For the person with no or very limited computer knowledge. It describes the components and their functions.
- Windows and Word Basics – Becoming familiar with the Windows Operating System and how to create, save and retrieve documents.
- Navigating the Internet and Email – How to search for (and find) information on-line; creating and using an email account.
- Internet Job Search – Using job board web sites; filling out on-line applications; uploading resume to applications.
