United Labor Agency has partnered with UConn Health to assist with a research study. Research Assistants Bill Blakey and Amy Novotny conduct screenings and interviews in ULA’s Middletown, Hartford, and Waterbury offices for the state wide study regarding health behaviors and employment. ULA provides participants of the study with employment services such as assistance with resume writing, job searching, and interviewing. Participants of the study are compensated up to $672 in checks and gift cards over the course of a year for their time and participation. There are chances to win prizes for some participants. Those interested in becoming a participant may contact Bill Blakey at (860) 729-2648 or Amy Novotny at (860) 989-7105 for a confidential screening.
