Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) helps low-income elderly people who are 60 and older and below 130% of federal poverty level – example: household of 1 person annual income cannot be greater than $15,444 and a family of 4 people annual income cannot be greater than $31,590. CSFP services clients in the Hartford, Wethersfield and Rocky Hill areas. Food packages include a variety of foods, such as nonfat dry and ultra-high temperature fluid milk, juice, farina, oats, ready-to-eat cereal, rice, pasta, peanut butter, dry beans, canned meat, and canned fruits and vegetables and can weigh up to 25 lbs. per box.
