Sandy Hook Workers Assistance Program
Funding was recently made available to assist union and non-union school personnel who were impacted by the tragedy at Sandy Hook School on December 14, 2012. The United Labor Agency, working collaboratively with the Newtown Center for Support and Wellness and the Newtown-Sandy Hook Community Foundation, are making an effort to reach those still in need of financial assistance for supportive services.
These funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to individuals determined to be eligible for benefits. Receipts for expenses will be required, and eligibility approval and distribution of funds will be determined by a committee consisting of representatives of the collaborative partners.
