Junior League of Hartford Volunteer-A-Thon Volunteers at ULA
November 10, 2018
John J. Driscoll United Labor Agency sends out a BIG thank you to the Junior League of Hartford’s Volunteer-A-Thon. Junior League members spent their last Saturday volunteering with us and provided needed help in two of our offices—Hartford, CT and Middletown, CT.
In Middletown, the ladies helped clean windows and rake the leaves up in the office yard. Their help saved us over $500 in maintenance fees. A big savings for a non-profit. Special thanks to staff member Lourdes Gonzalez for directing the volunteers as well.
In Hartford, JLH volunteers helped back a month’s worth of weekend food packages for our Labor of Love Backpack Program. The Junior League of Hartford also donated books from Barnes and Noble to our program so we can include them in each week for the kids. Thanks to Emmett Burton for directing the team of backpack packers!
Thanks to everyone for their help!!
