Amy R. Blackwood
Amy has been the Executive Director of the John J. Driscoll United Labor Agency since 2011 and the Director of Community Engagement for the CT AFL-CIO since 2015. Before that, she worked with ULA as a Community Services Coordinator from 2009-2011. Amy has a dual Bachelor’s Degree in History/Political Science and Secondary Education from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Non-Profit Management from Post University. She has an extensive background in developing and presenting training materials and occasionally works part-time training at community colleges throughout the state.
Her current passion is the CT Building Trades & ULA’s Building Pathways—CT an Apprenticeship Readiness Program for women.
Amy loves to vacation near the beach or to go camping. She is very passionate about her dogs and says her kids “aren’t so bad.”
