Donations of toys and cash were accepted to help families in need provide gifts for their children, gifts that they are not able to provide because of family hardships.
Every year our labor family comes together to ensure that families in need have a happier holiday season. It is a testament to the generosity of our labor family that as the need has grown, so has the support for this event.
This year many union members are facing lay-offs. Staff and volunteers have collected and sorted the gifts. The next step was matching requests with available toys and distributing them to parents, a process that went on until Christmas Eve.
