ULA is...

John J. Driscoll United Labor Agency, Inc. (ULA) is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) community services agency incorporated in Connecticut in 1978.

ULA assists...

Individuals and families who experience the hardship of an unexpected crisis by assessing the situation, assisting with immediate needs and working with them to prepare a plan for self-sufficiency with a long term goal of financial stability.

ULA's Mission

To improve the quality of life for workers and their families and the community at large by providing direct services and access to services to meet their immediate needs and to engage and empower members of organized labor to improve the community as a more responsive place to live, work, raise a family, and to retire.

 

ULA Reaching out to the Citizens of CT

Chances are that someone close to you has already been helped—or soon will be — by the United Labor Agency. Over the years, the ULA has been there to help all workers, unionized or not, in their time of greatest need. Through a variety of human service and employment and training programs, ULA provides direct assistance, advocacy and vital linkages to community services for workers and their families.

ORGANIZED LABOR RECOGNITION NIGHT JUNE 26TH

Help stock our Emergency Pantry and receive a pair of complementary tickets good for any home game in 2010!

On Saturday, June 26th, 2010, The John J. Driscoll United Labor Agency, a United Way Partner Agency, and the New Britain Rock Cats are asking fans and Organized Labor Members to donate household and toiletry goods during their Household & Toiletry Goods Drive at the New Britain Rock Cats Organized Labor Recognition Night.  Acceptable Items Include:  Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Kleenex, Napkins, Soap, Shampoo, Deodorant, etc.

  • Don't ignore letters from your lender
  • Contact your lender immediately
  • Contact a HUD-approved Housing Counselor right away; In CT you can call Money Management International, (formerly Consumer Credit Counseling) 203-389-6462
  • Use your assets, do you really need that second car, can you work a second job, can your spouse work?
